I spent a few days at Wentworth By The Sea this weekend and it was beautiful. One of the bartenders took a photo for us and it came out with strange lines through 2 people. It could be lighting but I’m not so sure. I saw the lines through a friend right away but didn’t notice the ones through me until I got home. Just wondered if you would like to look at it i can email it to you.

Its the morning of 04/19 and I am currently at the wentworth, I came upon this site because I was looking for an answer because I am on the second floor and I woke up about 4 times last night to the sight of a young boy looking about 7 or 8 years old and when I was in the shower I saw a shadow of that little boy. Any idea of who that could be?

this is not about wentworth but your remark about the pipe tobacco. I checked out a lot where an old church had burned down. All grown over. Happened upon a ghost passing thru but didn’t want to be bothered.. right by my side was a very heavy smell of pipe tobacco. there was no one around, no cars, nothing on the ground. Just in a condensed spot next to me. they never found the arsonist but I suspect an old man that set fires in dumpster in our area. He may have been the ghost.

my dad just visited wentworth this week and he had said he had seen a reflection in a window of a tall man in some sort of trench coat walking behind him and when he looked back noone was there. Also, when he was in his room the windows were tightly shut (its winter) but the curtains seemed to be blowing in the wind. His room also happened to be on the fourth floor.

Jaff, thanks for your comments. It was definitely pipe tobacco. Having lived in several damp locations and worked in a few musty sites, I understand the similarities… but it was pipe tobacco.

Are you sure it was pipe tobacco and not just the smell of something musty? I’ve found that pipe tobacco and a damp room smell similar. Still, its quite creepy to smell something so unexpected like that. Great post, by the way.

I was at wentworth recently, 6/09, and I had two very odd experiences. One was of a boy in a pin stripped suit peeking at me from around the corner. A very weird boy of about 14/15. The other was a reflection of an old man sitting on may bed with a martini glass in his hand. The boy may have been a bad dream, but the old man was something entirely different and yet, not scary6.

the smell of pipe tobacco you say you had smelt, (that is a weird sentence) it might have been from the furniture if the sun had been on it for a while. But if it was new furniture then i don’t know what could have caused it.
