Armchair Reader: Weird, Scary and Unusual is a huge book filled with eerie tales and strange trivia, including stories by Fiona Broome.

If you like ghost stories, you’ll like this book.

However, only some of the stories are about ghosts.  Most of the ghost stories in this book are true and located in America.  Others are from locations as diverse as Wales and Italy.  A few are folklore, but all of them are interesting and have some basis in truth.

This book may remind you of “bathroom reader” books.  However, these stories are juicier and more interesting than the average story collection.

You may not like every story in this book, but it includes plenty of good tales about ghosts and haunted places.

This is an ideal book for poolside reading, for the bedside, or to keep in the car.  If you have just five or ten minutes and you’d like to read something weird, scary and unusual, this book is a good choice.
