Website Changes – RSS feeds, free course
It’s the end of our busiest season, and I’m reviewing this past year to see how I can improve Hollow Hill.com.
Here’s the first improvement: In the upcoming week, I may* be changing Hollow Hill’s RSS feed link.
If you’re currently following this website via a Feedburner RSS feed, please check this site (http://HollowHill.com) on Friday, November 19th for the new RSS feed links. (Between now and Friday, the RSS feed URL may* change.)
Update: Earlier, I announced that the RSS feed would definitely change. Then, most of the problems were fixed at Feedburner. So, I may stay with Feedburner, after all. Look for this among my announcements on Friday, November 19th.
Other great changes are ahead at Hollow Hill, including a fully online version of the free Introduction to Ghost Hunting Course. (I’m phasing out the email version, and placing the certificates online — including one that will appeal to fans of Edward Gorey — for immediate download.)
Update: The course is now fully online, including the certificates. To see the new pages, use the links in the previous paragraph.
Please check HollowHill.com regularly for updates, especially during the next two weeks.
Update: You can now stay current on our articles by signing up for our free notification service. The form is in the right column. (If it’s not, use the form below.)

Thank you, Fiona.
I check your pages daily. I don’t know what a RSS feed is. We have two members nearly ready for your course. Since you’re changing it to be online, I will have them wait until then.
Thanks,
Rich
Hi Rich,
RSS feed makes it far easier to stay current on all your favorite websites.
On my computer, my homepage is iGoogle, where I can quickly see what’s new at all of my favorite sites… all on one webpage. (If RSS didn’t exist, I’d need even more hours in the day to stay up to date! *LOL*)
However, there are other ways to read all your RSS feeds on one webpage. They’re free (as iGoogle is) and usually called RSS readers or aggregators or something like that.
Here’s some more RSS info that may help:
Article – What is RSS?
An older video, but it’s still a good explanation – Video: RSS in Plain English
Also, the new version of the course should be fully online in the next two weeks. My favorite part is a fancy new certificate for people who complete the course. Everyone will have access to it — including the tens of thousands of people who’ve already taken my free course — but we need to have special hosting for it, to meet anticipated download demands.
With the course fully online, people won’t miss receiving their certificates. That’s become a fairly big problem lately, and it’s simpler to just put the whole thing online for everyone.
Cheerfully,
Fiona

HI Fiona,
I really enjoyed studying your free ghost hunting course since I am also a paranormal investigator and belong to a paranormal research team. Your courses will really help me become a better investigator. I was wondering if you could do an article on ghost legends of West Virgina.

Hi Fiona,
I really enjoyed your free ghost hunting lessons. And I look forward to studying future lessons.
Thank You
I have also read through your ghost hunting course. But Fiona, your whole website is one big lesson. If anyone has read all your articles and still doesn’t know what is what they need to hang up their sheet and go home. Fabulous!
