Navigation tips

KeyboardWith any website as large as Hollow Hill (over 300 individual articles), navigation can be a challenge.

Here are different ways to find what you’re looking for. Use any one of them, or try a few to see which you like best.

1. Use the navigation section at the right side of every page. As you click on categories, sub-categories will become visible… and, in some cases, sub-sub-categories.

All articles in that group will be listed in a panel on the left side of the page. Generally, they’re listed in the order we moved the articles to this format. (The sitemap, linked above, is an alphabetical list.)

2. Use the tags at the bottom of some articles, to find similar articles.  The tags include our most popular subjects. (Not all articles at our site have tags. We tagged only those articles that seem to generate unique interest.)

3. Use the sitemap linked at the top of every page. A huge list of all articles will open.  (Click on the word “Sitemap” in the navigation bar.)

4. Use our mini-sitemaps for the most popular individual categories. They’re the links at the top of the full sitemap.

5. Use the search form at the upper right corner of every webpage. However, due to the demands on our server, this may be the slowest method.

IF YOU REACH A “PAGE NOT FOUND” MESSAGE

If you reach a “page not found” or 404 message, use the Sitemap linked above.

Or, remove the /ghosthunting/ section of the URL. (We’re revising those URLs.)

That is, if you were looking for http://hollowhill.com/ghosthunting/somepage.php , try http://hollowhill.com/somepage.php instead.

For now, we’re leaving our older website online.  However, they aren’t being updated and most of them aren’t current.  The newer, updated versions are in the magazine-style portion of the website.

As new navigation tools become available for this site design, we’ll add them. They’re among many improvements you’ll see during the coming months.
