Dragon Con 2006 summary and thanks
It’s the last day of Dragon Con, and I’ve had the most amazing weekend. Oh, I’m exhausted and carrying a full set of Louis Vuittons under my eyes, but it’s been tremendous.
I’ve met amazing people, heard fabulous stories from people, learned a lot in workshops and panels, and… well, I just can’t say enough good stuff about Dragon Con, how it’s managed, and the people who attend it as Guests, Artists, Entertainers, and fans.
I can’t even select one moment of the weekend to say, “Oh, this was the best,” there were so many absolutely great things that happened.
One of them was meeting
dindrane who is bright, funny, and a delight to talk with. She’s one of those people who has diverse interests and connects the dots in creative ways to make life more interesting for everyone around her. Her students are very lucky!
My flight leaves late tonight. I’ll be returning home at a crazy hour tomorrow morning, but I’ll be so glad to see my husband. Next year, I’d love it if my family could be here.
There’s truly something for everyone here, and this has been a group (all ~50,000 of them, from the last numbers that I heard yesterday) in which I felt completely at home.
I learned a lot from the questions that people asked me about ghosts and ghost hunting, too. I’ll be writing a lot more how-to articles when I get home.
This has been a weekend with so many great moments, and–if you were among the people at Dragon Con–thank you for being there and making this an amazing experience. I have nothing but rave reviews about this event.
