What we promote at Hollow Hill – events

In the ghost hunting field, integrity is everything.  In many cases, that’s all we have to support our claims about what we’ve encountered at haunted places, and what we’ve recorded in photos, EVPs, and so on.

For that reason, I no longer promote paranormal events unless I’m among the featured guests.  If I’m not taking an active role in the event, I have no guarantee that my friends and fans will have a positive experience.

The only exception to that rule is this:  If an agency that represents me — such as Ideal Event Management — asks me to promote an event, I will.  I trust them with my reputation, and I also trust them to organize events that are worth attending.

While I respect my peers and associates in ghost-related fields, I’ve seen how quickly events can falter due to unforeseen changes in venues and the unanticipated agendas of other guests, attendees and media representatives.

If I’m there and have the autonomy to bring a “Plan B” to the table, it’s very different than if I’m (literally or figuratively) at the back of the bus, or not at the event at all.

That said, most paranormal-related events are huge successes, and I’m not referring to any particular event that may have had disappointing moments. (I rarely hear anything negative about events that my friends and associates organize.)

Though I would love to promote others’ events at Hollow Hill, my first responsibility is to my readers, friends and fans.  I’ll promote paranormal events at which I’m a featured guest, but not events at which I’ll have no input.

If you’d like to schedule me (Fiona Broome, the founder of Hollow Hill) for an event, please contact Ideal Event Management.   If your dates work with my schedule, I’d be delighted to participate!
