Possessed? Need help?

Mar 10th, 2010 | By Fiona Broome | Category: Spiritual issues, What's new

“I am possessed. Please help me.”  “My sister needs an exorcism.”  “I think my house has a demon.”
That’s what’s in my email most days.  Either someone thinks they’re possessed, or they think someone close to them is.
Though at least 80% of those emails are pranks — and replies will immediately bounce back as undeliverable email [...]

Snow orbs and holiday cheer

Dec 10th, 2009 | By Fiona Broome | Category: What's new

Snow creates orbs.  That’s not news, but I wanted to experiment with snow effects for my upcoming book, Ghost Photography 101*.
In general, snow seems to add so many anomalies — and different kinds of anomalies — I’d have to discount all of them in investigation photos.
That said, the effects were interesting when I took pictures [...]

Spalding Inn

May 22nd, 2009 | By Fiona Broome | Category: What's new

The Spalding Inn in Whitefield, New Hampshire is the kind of location that every ghost hunter dreams of.
The hotel is owned by ghost hunters Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson (famous for TAPS and the Ghost Hunters TV show) and their families.
In addition, parts of the hotel are delightfully haunted.
I’ve visited the Spalding Inn several times, [...]

Website changes

May 11th, 2009 | By Fiona Broome | Category: What's new

We’ve almost finished updating HollowHill.com with several website improvements, including our contact form, RSS options, and some homepage items.
As we work on the site, the HollowHill.com homepage may look odd or even return a “page not found” message.  This should last less than 20 minutes, if it happens at all.  (We hope it won’t.)
Most of [...]
