Hi Chris,

That's pretty creepy. Though I'd been given a general description of a few ghosts at the college, the details are 100% mine.

This may sound strange, but sometimes I'm happier thinking it's all in my mind... that they're just stories I'm convincing myself of, rather than anything actually external to me.

So, when I hear people confirm what I experienced... that's kind of creepy. It's doubled when the confirmation comes from a skeptic.

Honestly...? I'd prefer it if all "ghost stories" were just folklore, and impressions that echo them, rather than actual, baffling encounters.

That's probably why I like the idea of it being a parallel realm in which people are alive & well in their own times, and those images are simply seeping through the membrane, quantum-style.

Second best is, "they're all residual energy impressions."

Thanks for telling me about your English teacher... even if that story rattles me a bit.

Cheerfully (more or less),
Fiona Broome

My art teacher went to school at Bradford and had the same experience, just like what happened to you.

Your encounter with the ghost girl in the theater is very peculiar. Not to entice insult upon you or anyone else, I personally don't fully believe in ghosts. Mostly due to the fact that I have never had any personal experiences. But I say that the ghost in the theater is peculiar because my English teacher went to Bradford College, and every year on Halloween, he tells us his personal ghost encounter. Intriguing enough is that his story matches almost perfectly with yours. He tells of how he and his buddies were climbing the staircase, and heard a girl sing "Hush little baby, don't say a word". When they reached the top, they saw the girl standing there with her backed turned to them, cradling what they assumed was a baby. He accounts how when she starts to turn around, some force (or just pure fear) prevents them from even gazing up into her face or seeing exactly what she is holding. I have the utmost respect for my teacher so I never wanted to discredit his story, and this article is shockingly similar to his own and really makes me wonder...I just thought I'd write and say that your encounter was not the only one like that.
